See review below. Yes I gave them 5 stars. I have changed that to 1 star. I have used them for 20 years for two locations. I just had the worst experience with their hvac. They went out to outpr rental unit, where they installed the unit 5 years ago. They said it was low on refrigerant and there was a leak somewhere. They couldnt find it but it was probably a slow leak and they could refill the refrigerant that day and depending on the leak it would work for two days and 6 months. It was Easter weekend so to ensure my tenants had AC i asked the cost and he said $178. I said, perfect do it. I got charged over $1,150. I got an invoice saying $178 a few hours later. Apparently the $178 was per unit, which it says on the invoice with no mention on how many units it anything. I had approved the repair on the phone based on his $178 cost. I called Monday and they service manager called me back and basically argued with me about how I should have read the invoice, when he gave me a quote in the phone I approved it and didnt get the invoice with that info until after the service was done and. He left. A 20+ year customer and they said it was my fault they did nothing wrong. They manager was rude and I eventually explained it was done, but they just lost a 20 year customer in hvac, plumbing and electrical. I guess that $1000 was worth it to them. Very disappointed. We have used progressive everything. Plumbing, hvac, electrician. They are very responsive, get you on the schedule quickly, arrive in time, communicate well and get the job done for me everytime. I use them for my home and our rental unit.

I called to explain that my thermostat had been knocked off the wall and was no longer working properly. They told me a technician would come out to troubleshoot for a $59 fee. When the tech arrived, he roamed around the house, never even bothering to check the thermostat, despite my property manager being there to assist. He started throwing out random issues to justify up charging, mentioning that the overload controller was uncovered but still avoided the thermostat. Then he claimed the problem might be internal and insisted on a trace test for an additional $300, demanding I pay immediately. After wasting an hour behind the house, he finally declared that the thermostat needed to be replaced. At that point, I realized I had been hustled and ripped off for $300. I was furious, especially since now I had to go out and buy a new thermostat on my own.
