I called Structure Pros because they were offering free crawl space inspection. They came out and I showed them the interior of the home and pointed out the sagging / uneven floors and told them I was noticing a musty odor. They went under to inspect crawl space. They informed me that the sagging floors were due to the floor joists being overspanned and undersized. They suggested jacking floors and installing concrete footings, with steel jacks supporting the load bearing beam. They explained that the musty odor was a result of moisture in crawl space and suggested I have a crawl space vapor barrier installed with a french drain around the perimeter and to make sure to keep foundation vents open for proper crawl space ventilation. I told them that whatever we decide to do I wanted permanent crawl space solutions, because my home was in historic downtown Wilmington and I intended to retire there in Wimingtons historic district. Then they suggested crawl space encapsulation, explained it was basically a sealed crawl space and suggested with a crawl space dehumidifier it was the best system for permanent crawl space solutions. They installed the floor jacks, load bearing beam and steel adjustable floor jacks. With a pier and beam system. They proceed to encapsulated crawl space. and install dehumidifier. I was very pleased with their work, the squeaky flores were repaired. There was no more crawl space moisture, it was great crawl space solutions. I am very happy with Structure Pros quality crawl space repair and they threw in a pump basin in case I ever had problems to water intrusion in a storm that sump pump installation would be quick and easy and that if I covered the sump pump cost they would come back and install sump pump. I would most definitely hire Bill Pullen again. My sewer water pipe had backed up into my house and I had to do a full downstairs remodel( Sheetrock, doors, molding floors bathroom... everything) in a couple of weeks. I normally do all my own remodels however since I had a time constraint I hired Bill and he not only did that but he also helped me with my Flooring subcontractor who is trying to make things difficult. I have more projects coming up that I will need more than 2 ppl so I will definitely be hiring Bill!
