Introduction: I am not afraid to get in there and get the shot however I will be most discreet and respectful of your moment. I love to walk around at events and not just shoot what is to be seen but more so what is to be felt in capturing all of the emotions behind any event I photograph. I have a pleasant demeanor and smile along with a very business/casual attitude with the abilty to change to work as needed that will make your guests at ease being photographed. Time is so fleeting, one moment here today and gone tomorrow. I love the ability to capture memories in time. It makes me feel like a superhero of sorts.

Melissa took spring pictures of me and my daughter March 2014. She did a great job at choosing the location of the photo shoot. She has a very artistic eye for what will work well. I love her creativity with the background and props. We went to a man-made waterfall in Reidsville and she scattered brightly colored Easter eggs on the stone and I would have never thought of that but it turned out beautiful. Then we had some shots with a pink blossom tree in the background that went well with my child's dress. After that we had some pictures of us on her favorite blanket at the park while reading a favorite book to my child. Those were my favorites of the day! Melissa was on time, her professional demeanor was impressive throughout the day. The only thing that didn't go perfectly was the sun kept going behind the clouds and yet Melissa was still able to capture the most beautiful pictures that I have ever received of my child.

FAQs

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved photography, my passion since I was a child really. I never remember a time when I didn't carry one. I do remember that when I enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1994 I was not suppose to really take my beloved camera to bootcamp and I just couldn't, I couldn't imagine not being able to record one of the biggest moments in my life thus far, so I smuggled one in anyhow. I knew it was risky but to me worth the risk. I also remember during an inspection toward the end of the ten weeks it was dicovered and I now own a photo of me doing pushups, photographer none other than my wonderful drill sgt.! Its still one of my favorties. So yeah, I take my passion pretty seriously.
