I have been taking piano lessons since I was six years old. I have taken from three different teachers (one being Mrs.Moore). The first teacher had to quit offering piano lessons, the second was not qualified for that profession. After I left my second teacher, my mom was looking for another piano teacher in the area. My mom worked in Shelby and would always drive by Mrs. Moore's sign in her front yard. My mom finally got the number copied down and called her. We set up aTime to come over to her house and meet her. She was very thorough and telling us about her program. She is very flexible and willing to work with almost anyone, she knows what she is doing and the theory behind piano. She has many different programs she uses to teach. She will challenge you, but she will help you find different pieces of music and books that you will enjoy. She personalizes each lesson for each student.

My grandchildren Wynter and Phoenix , have taken piano since they were 6 and 7 yrs. old , now they are 10 and 11 yrs old .... 4 yrs they have taken piano with Ms. Jacquelyn .... Ms. Jaquelyn is patient with all ages and follows a curriculum program that fits each levels ... She does have recitals at least 2 times a year and gives challenge to each student to reach their best potential.... I am pleased that my grands are taught the right dynamics and technic also ... I am very fortunate to have found such a wonderful piano teacher for my grandchildren....

Mrs.Moore is a great instructor. My 8 year old daughter loves her and loves going to her lessons. I'm excited to have found a instructor who is passionate about what she teaches and also has enough patients to deal with kids but still show discipline and guide lines. Highly recommend.

When I first came to Jacquelyn, I knew the basics of how to play the piano. She has helped to take my b skills to the next level. My parents, people at my church, and our church pianist have all seen improvements in my playing just in the short time I have been taking from her. I am able to play hymn arrangements much better and I am able to play hymns twice as good. She can be firm but kind in teaching you how to play the piano. She is a good Christian woman who will take the time to help you, even if it is over your lesson time.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A day and time is agreed upon for the initial introductory lesson. Depending on the student's music knowledge and skill, either a separate class will be formed, and/or the student will be transitioned into an existing class. Prior to beginning lessons, parents will be asked to read over the studio contract (policies and procedures) and sign and intial as indicated. Either full tuition or first payment installment with semester regisration is due the first lesson. If the student's account has not been set-up prior to the first lesson, this will done at the lesson. Since Piano Marvel is a separate entity then the studio, the company requires an authorized credit card on file for payment of the account. If paying monthly, the money will be automatically deducted accordingly. This is why it is strongly encouraged that parents set up the account prior to the student coming to their first lesson-- otherwise a credit card will need to be provided for the instructor to set up the account. Each student will require a legitimate email for their user name (as PM will verify account status and communicate billing etc. thought the email address provided).
