Introduction: Screening and Testing Services For those who require the services of a in-house bookkeeper, we can provide screening and testing for your applicants and new hires so that you can rest assured you're hiring the right person for the job. At Consolidated Bookkeeping Services, we offer a wide variety of services that we will gladly customize to meet your individual needs. Our month-end and year-end services can be used with either the basic bookkeeping service or the enhanced bookkeeping service, or even as a stand-alone service. We use QuickBooks Online, so it seems as if I am in the office next to you. Our QuickBooks setup service includes the following: • A free one-hour consultation to choose the right QuickBooks edition for your business • A review of hardware requirements • Installation of your QuickBooks program • Setup of your company file and selection of your preferences • Customization of your chart of accounts • Instruction on how to set up lists, payrolls, sales taxes, and fixed assets • Help with entering historical transactions • Help with setting up security and backup procedures Our basic bookkeeping service includes the following: • Entering transactions into a QuickBooks file • Assigning all of your transactions to appropriate income and expense accounts • Providing monthly financial statements for your review • Providing your accountant with the information they need to quickly and inexpensively prepare your income taxes at the end of the year Our enhanced bookkeeping service includes all of the above plus the following: o Preparing your accounts payable checks for your signature o Preparing invoices to send to your customers o Setting up files and tracking your inventory o Preparing collection letters for you to sign and send to your customers when necessary o Making sure that your bills are paid on time o Maintaining vendor and customer files o Providing you with reports to determine who are your most and least profitable customers o Providing you with detailed employee, expense, and revenues associated with each one o Providing reports showing which areas of your business are the most and least profitable Year-End Plan Our year-end plan includes setting your closing date for you. We'll work with your accountant to determine a set of year-end activities that need to be done, and prepare your QuickBooks file for your accountant and deliver it to them. We'll work with your accountant to make sure they have everything they need to prepare your taxes. We'll close the books and clean up your company data file. We'll then verify that the year-end profit or loss is transferred to the retained earnings account and get you started on the new year. We do everything we can to make the tax season as painless as possible for you! Remember, year-end closing is a free service to clients who have enrolled in the enhanced bookkeeping services and have participated in the program throughout the current tax year. If you joined the enhanced bookkeeping services program in the middle of the tax year, you can still receive the year-end plan at 50% off the regular price! End-of-Month Plan We reconcile bank and credit card statements. We take care of any payroll and sales tax liabilities that need attention. We provide a monthly review of the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows, and verify reasonableness and agreement. We print the trial balance and verify agreement. We scan the general ledger to detect errors and unusual entries. We verify debit and credit postings. We verify beginning and end-of-period balances. We scan the audit trail report for changed or deleted transactions that may need attention. We also review the general journal entries. We adjust journal entries for you. Remember, our month-end services are included at no extra charge for our enhanced bookkeeping services clients.
