About
Professional, courteous service, ALWAYS! In business over 30 years, which started in NY 1992. Been involved with piano since age 4, when started taking lessons in classical music. I truly enjoy helping a piano sound and work better every time I service one. I am an independent contractor, but have chosen to work only with the great organization, Well-Loved Piano, based in Belmont, NC.
When considering hiring a piano pro, please know that what is included in the price is not the same with everyone. I can't and won't account for anyone else. I will say that included in the price I quote is high quality work, select additional services at no extra charge, and the ability to recognize a situation that may require help from specialized professionals.
I pledge my best effort, always!

Rich was very prompt in his response to my request. He has been here twice to work on a very old piano, that needed tuning and some repairs. His work to restore the pitch, tuning and repairs, was completed in a timely manner and with great quality! Rich has the piano playing beautifully again for an 1881 piano! He is professional in his appearance, email, text or calls and was a delight to work and talk with. He also plays the piano beautifully too, so I knew the piano was ready to play again! Thank you, Rich and Well-Loved Piano!

Extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful pianist. He came into our home and provided great conversation as well as his complete spectrum of knowledge on pianos. I would recommend for all piano related needs not just tuning. Rich did an awesome job, and we will absolutely use him again.

Tim,
Thank you for your kind words. It's a joy to me working with you and help you and your lovely wife get the piano to sound like an in tune piano. Love that puppy, too!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is structured to include various services included with time allotted for service call. For instance, our standard appointment of 2 hours allows for basic tuning, minor pitch adjustment, minor adjustments to action, pedal, hammers, dampers, etc., where anything major is not required. We also will disinfect whatever areas we touched to help prevent any spread of any virus that may be on our person. Our service area is within 50 miles of our office. Anything further will be considered, but will require a travel fee in addition to standard service fees.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After securing a service appointment, we do fact finding of what the needs of the piano owner is most important. We also do a full inspection of the piano to find anything that we will recommend to service in order to have the piano operate at it's best capabilities. We also like to arrange for follow up appointments (when necessary) at the visit to secure a place on our busy calendar to keep the piano in it's best performing condition.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education was training with a top notch piano technician starting 1992 as an apprentice, then attending monthly meetings with the local chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild, also attending national conventions for education and networking with other technicians throughout the world.
