Mike came the same day that I entered my job on Thumbtack to install 2 ceiling fans. He promptly finished the job at a very reasonable price. While he was here, he also replaced my broken door bell. I will definitely call Empire Home Services again.

Mike is simply phenomenal. I contacted multiple individuals for quotes in assistance in replacing two bathroom fans. Mike was the only individual to immediately call and offer consultation and expertise, which seems like a lost art these days. It seems like many contractors these days will do whatever the customer asks them to, even when it isn’t advisable or the right thing to do. This is incredibly frustrating for somebody like myself, who does not understand or know what is advisable in certain DIY projects. Therefore, myself and people like me lean heavily on the expertise of the people that we hire. Mike certainly provides that expertise. Mike spent 30 minutes with me on the phone, simply scoping my project and making sure that my request to replace bathroom fans was the right request. Mind you, at this point, I hadn’t even agreed to hire him. Mike provide provided guidance on which brand, power, and type of bathroom fan to purchase to ensure that it was adequate to resolve my issues. Again, this type of consultation was not paid for and not offered by any of the other contractors I spoke to. Unlike the others, Mike wasn’t simply trying to take my money, he was trying to genuinely help and solve my issues. Upon the day of install, Mike was on time, extremely clean, and courteous of his surroundings. I can’t tell you how many contractors simply do not clean up after themselves or make a giant mess, not Mike. While I am writing this review mere minutes after he completed the work, it seems like the work was done the right way and the fans are working as intended. Because of all of this, Mike deserves nothing short of five stars in my personal recommendation to anybody who is looking for this type of work to be done. Not only is he an expert in what he does, he completes the work cleanly in with a great degree of respect for the home around him. I would feel comfortable allowing Mike to complete work on my home even when I’m not present and I think that says a lot.

Mike came by to install two bathroom exhaust fans. There weren’t any previously so he ran the ductwork as well. He did an outstanding job! He was professional, quick, and the work was clean. Will definitely be using him in the future. Thanks again Mike!

I spent years in the trade to become a professional. I am not a “cheap” specialist. I take pride in the quality of work that I do. I’m not the cheapest. I get the work done right the first time. You will call me again for other projects to do.

Most important is being on the same page with customer. Communication and being upfront with timing and cost of the project.
