FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Other than my degree in English and the occasional creative writing course for leisure -- the best way to keep up in my field is research. Reading and learning from other successful persons in my field, reading about the latest trends in writing and educating myself on different types of content and their parameters keep me up to date.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved writing -- fiction or informational and once I was in college I decided to use my talents to generate extra income because as a full time student I did not have enough downtime to have a full time job. Freelance writing came natural to me -- so I stuck with it, did a lot of learning and research and today it is still my primary source of income.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most commonly I am approached by clients needing specialized content written for their website. This may come in the form of straight content or as articles, blogs, etc. I have also been asked to do ghostwriting, editing, product and real estate writing and descriptions. I'm versatile. I'll take on most anything -- and if it's new to me -- it's a learning experience and I will tell you so up-front -- and charge accordingly.
