*Currently offering online lessons only!* I have been in piano teaching business since 2009. My love for music co-exists with my love for teaching. I work to create happy and healthy individuals who love music. I am training all my students with principles of good body use, awareness and movement through music. Sound before sight (audiation) is emphasized, especially with younger students. Regardless of the age and experience, injury preventive well-coordinated keyboard technique is learned and applied in our lessons. I hired Ekin for piano lessons for my niece. It has been a great experience! She seems invested in her students and has been keeping me updated without even having to request it. My niece thoroughly enjoys her as a teacher and has made great progress.

My 6yo just started piano with Ekin this month, and we have LOVED working with her. She’s responsive to messages and questions, and is very patient with children. My husband is even contemplating lessons himself. Her rates are also affordable—a win all around!

Although I could only choose 3 quality’s to describe Mrs. Üstünel’s work, these do little in the way of highlighting the experience of her instruction as an adult, beginner level student. As a beginner level musician with absolutely no past experience, I was hesitant in finding an instructor that would have the ability and patience to teach in a fashion that I could easily understand. Mrs Üstünel did exactly that. From the first few minuets of introduction, Mrs Üstünel’s bright personality greeted me with a warm feeling of belonging and support. Again as a beginner and adult, an anxiety most face is the challenge of learning something new without fear of ridicule or embarrassment. I did not feel those a single time during or after instruction. The style, ability to articulate and ability to shape her lessons to individual was nothing short of impressive. Another aspect of what I personally enjoyed about the experience was accessibility. Mrs Üstünel is always readily available to answer any questions at a moments notice both outside and during instruction. Her competence and compassion would be beneficial to any student young or old that is interested in learning this beautiful art.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It takes time to understand the workings of a piano/music lesson, so I offer a free trial lesson and %50 off the second lesson. One-on-one lesson prices: 30 minutes: $30 45 minutes: $45 60 minutes: $60
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Free trial lesson followed by %50 discount off the second lesson. I encourage everybody to ask questions, so they can avoid any surprises regarding the content of our lessons.
