Introduction: I believe that my work stands out from others has to do with my age. I have been able to learn from great, study their work, but I am also able to try and see the world through the eyes of the younger generation. Children have best imaginations, and I'm not so far removed from them that I can't try and appreciate their experience. I don't want to ever be stuck in the way that I do things. I don't want to only edit photos this way, or only shoot in this lighting, or only do portraits or only do landscapes. When I first started out, I only wanted to photograph sceneries, but the great thing about being young and being open is that I had time to learn about other options and it not be too late. Now, almost 4 years since I first had a photo published, I am comfortable with scenery photography, as well as taking pictures for events, headshots, posters, etc. Growing up, I never wanted to feel like living was a chore. For so long, people would "enjoy your childhood while it last, because you only get about 18 years, and then you're an adult for the rest of your life". They always said that in a somber tone, but I was determined to not see it that way. I didn't just want a job; I wanted a career. I want my passions to be my livelihood, and that's something photography/videography has provided me. I enjoy that not only am I witnessing history, at many different levels, but I have so many opportunities to be able to say that I made history. I started photography in the 11th grade and I love looking back my journey through the years. I see growth, not only with my talent, but with maturity and the expansion of my "eye" and scope. Things I am able to see the beauty in now, that I didn't before I began capturing moments...artists see the beauty of the world, from the architecture of dismal buildings, to the spec of blue in cloudy skies. What I like most about my job? My eyes are open, wide, and no one can take that away from me.
