About
I am a native Spanish speaker with 25 years of teaching experience in dual language (Spanish and English immersion) programs. I have worked as a staff teacher in some public and private schools in lower elementary and designing curriculum for young learners.
I have had the opportunity to teach in a Spanish immersion program in Raleigh which seeks to develop the common core curriculum, promotes a global and cross-cultural education and the 21st century life skills while immersed in the second language.
I also have a wide experience in private tutoring to children and teenagers targeting specific literacy challenges. I focus my lessons on meaningful activities to promote curiosity for learning not only about language but the Hispanic culture.
My main work location is Brier Creek, Raleigh, North Carolina.

I can't say enough good things about Ms. Libreros. She has been tutoring my 7-year old daughter for the last 6 months, and I have seen such wonderful progress in a short amount of time. She is now able to read short books in Spanish and continues to expand her vocabulary with every lesson. It is so rare to find a teacher with the passion and dedication that Ms Vicky has. I hope she can continue to teach my daughter for many years!

She individually adjusts her lesson contents to the needs and levels of each child, finds ways to engage them all in a fun way, so that they are not only looking forward to the next lesson but also learning at an impressive speed. I can't imagine a better teacher for my kids!

Vicky has been coming to my house to tutor my son for over 5 months now. She has been extremely communicative and very patient with him and has a detailed lesson plan that she follows so I know his lessons are advancing in an ongoing progression. I would recommend Vicky to anyone learning Spanish whether beginner or advanced.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a wide experience at the teaching field and using different resources, such as interactive programs and websites to enhance learning and engage students in acquiring the Spanish Language. My program, approach and the outcome are worth the price. For a 60 minutes session, I charge $40 for remote learning. I ask my students to get a work book according to their level and I provide them with copies and materials that aren't in the books.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I evaluate my student's level and begin the lessons from there. I follow a program that I designed based on my own research and updated bibliography. After I complete a unit, I revisit the vocabulary, grammar and how to put all these components together to make complete and accurate sentences. After this foundational approach, I engage the new language learner into reading and writing different types of texts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, Certification in Primary Years Program from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). North Carolina Educator Certification in World Languages- Spanish.
