- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In the state of North Carolina, anyone practicing massage therapy must be nationally certified and state licensed. Any advertizing, business cards and websites must have a NC LMBT license number, if it does not then the person is not a licensed professional. My license number is 9891 and I can be verified as a licensed practitioner on the state board's website or by calling their office. http://www.bmbt.org/ It is in your best interest to find a licensed practitioner. Massage therapist go through intensive training. The best advice I can give is that you find a well trained licensed massage therapist that has the credentials to properly treat you.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Massage Therapy is a great way to relax tired, overworked muscles. A lot of people seek massage for relaxation and pampering. Massage, however, is much more than a pampering spa treatment. I work with clients with serious ailments such as chronic neck pain, sciatica and range of motion difficulties. These issues can be remedied by massage therapy.
