Communication through Thumbtack was really good. The women were going to be an hour late for my appointment so they let me know through the app, which I really appreciated. However, I didn’t find anything to be particularly “deep” about the “deep clean.” They don’t wash dishes nor do they make up the bed. These have been standard services for every other cleaning service that I’ve used. I also realized too late (after they had already left) that they really only cleaned what was visible for a quick look around. For example, they did not sweep underneath my couch. I have an unattached sectional that’s really easy to move around but they didn’t try to clean under the sofa and/or between the cushions or anything like that. They also didn’t clean under the burners or my stove, just wiped over the top. Only some of my vents were cleaned. I also had them “steam clean” my shag rug. Even the woman who cleaned it said she couldn’t tell whether it looked different or not. It wasn’t damp or anything after so I hesitate to think it was anything more than vacuuming. Only some of the window sills were cleaned. Overall, it was not worth $130 for a one bedroom, one bath apartment.
