- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because every shoot is different, I price projects based on the amount of time taken in preparation, the shoot itself and editing/retouching the final photos. I've had shoots run anywhere from $100 to $1000 depending on complexity and the hours involved.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally start the process with a new customer by meeting to discuss the shoot. This helps me understand what they're looking for and what they expect as the final result. It also helps me discuss my process during the shoot - and how we'll work together to achieve that. At this meeting we also decide on location, date and time. If the customer would like me to choose a location, we discuss what they're looking for so I can find the best location. After the initial meeting, I provide a detailed estimate, location information and scheduling confirmation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Aside from photography and fine art courses in college, I continually take seminars and classes to hone the technical side of photography. I've always had a very artistic eye and have worked to pair that with strong technical acumen.
