Introduction: I have the ability to clearly explain various aspects of the Spanish and Japanese language and culture. I can teach from middle school ages to adults of any level.
I have graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with my BA in Spanish and also Latin American Studies. I have also graduated with my teaching certification in Spanish. Although I am certified in the state of Nebraska to teach one language, my knowledge goes beyond just that.
I have been to Mexico twice: once for a personal travel, and with the second, for a one-month study. I did freelance interpreting for other beginner students in my course. I have taught middle school at two different schools in the area of Omaha for two years. I finished my masters, which is the master's of arts in language teaching with a concentration on Spanish.
For my Japanese experience, I have studied four semesters at UNO and have completed a ten-month scholarship in Shizuoka, Japan. I also did interpretation for my family during a two week visit across the country. I have been an English conversation partner with two programs that UNO has with Hiroshima and Shizuoka.
I have been involved with the Hiroshima College of Foreign Languages for three years and the Shizuoka Summer Tour for two years. I have taught Japanese as a second language at the Omaha Japanese School.
