Introduction: “Let me paint your dreams” is my catch phrase (as well as my web site!) My specialty is working closely with my customers to come up with a composition that works well as a mural or on a canvas capturing a particularly special subject matter or design. Sometimes I am given several examples of their theme or idea and sometimes it starts with literally a simple thought or even a dream they have always wanted to see in color! I will work up sketches first and make changes until we get it right! Nothing in the world is more enjoyable to me than sitting at my easel and creating something totally new!

Holly has been extra great to work with! She understood our vision from day one and was able to convey that through her artwork in a way that has us all blown away! She is self motivated, positive and professional which has made our lives easy on such a large scale project. We cant wait to have Holly help brighten all of our spaces in the future!

My husband and I had an eight-foot wooden screen erected and attached to our chain-link fence to block out an unsightly neighbors yard visible from our kitchen, bedroom and family room windows. Holly initially came over and met with me about my thoughts and ideas for this mural. She drew up some sketches and we finalized the design for a tree that would use my grandnieces and grandnephews hand prints for leaves in various colors and tulips for the little hands. We were somewhat under a time-crunch as one of the little ones would soon be leaving for Japan with her USAF parents. Originally I was going to paint sillouettes beneath the tree but as the project grew, and I was impressed with Holly's work, I elected to pay her to do it as well. Holly was responsive to these changes and timely. The end-result took about a week start to finish but is something we will treasure ... hopefully for years to come. This is the first time I have done a project like this so I don't feel able to comment on "value".

Not only is Holly an incredibly talented and creative artist, she is also a caring, thoughtful and kind person. We hired her to do a mural of a nebula galaxy on a wall in our 13 year old son's bedroom. He struggles with anxiety and takes art therapy, so we thought it would be great if they could work together on this project. Holly was simply outstanding working with our son and helping us stay within our budget. She suggested painting a mural on a 4'x5' canvas instead of the wall. She incorporated all of our son's ideas and added her own personal flair to the piece. It is magical and he loves it! It is something that he will be able to have with him, for the rest of his life. We can express enough gratitude to the joy and beauty she has brought into our home. I would highly recommend her and would love to to work with her again in the future!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Each and every project is different depending on variables such as size, subject matter, mediums, style and details. The placement of the mural can also affect the price such as exterior vs. interior, height or difficulty in reaching the wall and use of scaffolding etc.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I begin with a consultation and discuss details of the desired artwork. Should we agree that the project is something we may like to pursue together, we will discuss price and deadlines. A deposit is usually about 1/3 down with two additional payments-one about halfway through and one at completion. (Other payment agreements can be discussed)

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have many years of art and painting experience as well as attending a “master class” with Robert Bateman, Canadian wildlife artist as well as private instruction through local “Omaha”, water colorist, Yvonne Eymann. I work closely with local muralist, Richard Harrison and have his support if needed for larger mural projects.
