FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When choosing a Home Inspector, much like looking for any other type of professional, a trusted referral is priceless! That referral may come from a trusted Realtor, neighbor, relative, or even a person who cuts your hair- but someone whose opinion you respect and trust. Once you get that positive reference from someone who has 'been there', contact the inspector. Ask about their experience, certifications, licensing, etc. Discuss the scope of the inspection they offer. Observe not only their answers, but how they receive your questions. If they don't appreciate your questions, or begrudge you their time, that is an indication of how they will serve you, if hired to inspect. And besides, "There is no such thing as a dumb question"! -And lastly, your inspector is there to provide you with accurate information so that in the process of buying or selling a home, you can make informed decisions. Don't short yourself in that area by using a 'second rate' inspection company, just because they can save you a few dollars on the rice of an inspection. Choose wisely and be well informed!
