What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Bookkeeping, QuickBooks training, and consulting is done on an hourly basis. Payroll is charged depending on number of employees and frequency. Tax preparation is charged according to the complexity of the return and number of forms completed. QuickBooks classes are also available on a cost per person fee.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I complete over 30 hours of continuing education each year. Continuing education is required by both the IRS, the National Association of Certified Bookkeepers, and Intuit to maintain my credentials.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I took a class with H&R Block several years ago to get a job with them and found that I loved the challenge of regulatory research and completing the forms.
