I met with the contractor and he provided me with a verbal estimate. This work involved repairing sheetrock and window framing damaged by an ice dam. We scheduled the work for end of April or early May. The contractor left me a voicemail letting me know that he hadn't forgotten about me but was working on a larger project, and would schedule a time to complete the work. I wrote an email to the contractor asking for a written estimate for the work and to schedule the appointment. The contractor emailed me, although I requested a phone call, and provided me with a reference for another contractor. He then shared that " I am booked up through the summer months but if I can be of assistance at a later date" to give him a call. Well, you can imagine that I will not be calling the contractor. Of course, these round robin of miscommunication, emails gone unanswered, no phone calls, and then having to start from scratch doesn't bode well.
