My iPad Air (A1474) had gotten stuck in the folding mechanism of a pullout sofa resulting in a shattered screen with tiny glass bits everywhere and a slightly bent frame. Kevin enthusiastically and quickly responded that he was willing to attempt a screen (digitizer) replacement.
Kevin successfully got all the glass out and installed the new screen. However, without a good way to unbend the frame the screen wanted to pop out of the frame near the bend. Consulting with Kevin, we decided to re-heat the adhesive on the frame and gently sandwich the screen back in place using thick catalogs and gentle clamping. This worked and the iPad was definitely back in business!
Unfortunately, the lcd screen had some thin streaks on it after the repair making the image not completely perfect. I consider these imperfections to have been unavoidable given the severity of the initial damage.
