Brett Halsey did a complete makeover of our basement, which dated back at least 40 years. Everyone who sees it cannot believe the transformation.
We were very happy with him and would highly recommend this hard working and reliable man to people.

We can’t say enough good things about Brett and his business. We kept him busy for over a month with large projects around the house, and he delivered. He was professional, prompt and his attention to detail and craftsmanship is excellent. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone else, and we do daily as neighbors walking by compliment our outdoor area and ask “who did that?!”

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Brett Halsey (Halsey Home and Land). He was fantastic at communicating, honest with his quote, an extremely hard worker, prompt/on time, and honestly an all around nice human being to boot! I HIGHLY recommend for any and all needs! updated see below. originally the project was done well, but he does not appear to stand behind his craftsmanship.
Brett always responded same day to my messages and frequent questions. He came on the day he said he would, and did a nice job on my deck and rails. Work was neat and cleaned up when done.
I recommend Brett to work with, was a good experience.
Service after the project was completed, the luan that was used as the face for the stairs bowed, so it was replaced with pvc, now the stairs don,t match (I never even commented about the 2 separate pieces of wood on the top stair face). When I asked if he would accept that work at his house, he did not respond. The corners of the rails have pulled apart, I was informed that would be additional money to repair. They pulled apart within 2 months of the installation.

Sean, i understand tour concerns. Similar to a warranty on car parts. materials for replacement are at not cost. but there is a cost for labor. As for the stairs, i did exactly what you asked me to do. nothing more, nothing less. i told you that i would be more than happy to swap out the lumber for you that separated. and there was no guarantee it would not happen again because of the pressure treated lumber drying out and shrinking happens.
