Hello, I think I may be able to assist you. My name is Walter and I am an accountant and an Enrolled Agent with more than 15 years of tax experience. I also perform bookkeeping services. I’m a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers as well as the National Association of Tax Professionals. Everyone is aware what a CPA is and what a CPA does but you may be asking yourself what is an Enrolled Agent and why should I choose you? Well, an Enrolled Agent is a tax expert who is regulated by the Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS for audits, collections, and appeals. An Enrolled Agent holds a federal license and has an unrestricted right to represent any client in any state. As an Enrolled agent I am held to a stringent Code of Ethics and must fulfill annual tax-centric education requirements. I am constantly learning about the latest tax changes and updates. As an Enrolled Agent, my focus is taxes but I am also an experienced bookkeeper. We provide affordable tax preparation services for individuals and businesses.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We would provide a tax checklist to gather information for the current tax year. We would also ask for a copy of the tax return from the previous tax year. We would be happy to take the time to address any questions and concerns you may have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Masters Degree in Forensic Accounting and am an Enrolled Agent which is is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee. In addition I have more than 10 years of experience in tax preparation.
