- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My administrative career started more than 20 years ago. As the years passed I worked for several different companies. My last position working out of the home was at a pharmaceutical company. I loved the work I was doing and was making great money, but I was traveling so much more than I wanted to. I was working 60-70 hours per week practically killing myself to satisfy an extreme workload that really needed three people to satisfy effectively, and on top of all that my boss was an inexperienced manager. During the five years I was employed with this company, and to make a long story short, there had been many promises made and broken along the way. I had earned many certifications and awards for projects and goals that had not only been accomplished but exceeded in many cases. So after learning that my promotion had been given to another employee just because it was more cost effective for the company, I decided that my value at this company was not appreciated at all and it was time to leave. I decided to go back to the basics. I thought everyone needs administrative assistance from time to time and there might even be some entrepreneurs like myself out there who could use my expertise on a full or part-time basis. That is how Pro-Comp-Services was created, and it has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. I have a handful of clients that I love working with, I set my own schedule, and I love being my own boss.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
