- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do most of my work by the hour. For a large project, I'm able to estimate the hours a job is likely to take ahead of time. It keeps it easy and simple for both of us.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with the customer for a free consultation. I want to hear your ideas about the space you'd like to see in place of what you've currently got. If you have a vision for the area, I'll work with you to clearly define it so I can create it. If you are unsure of what you want, I can lay out several ideas that you can choose from, or that can serve as a starting point for exploring your wishes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every year I attend classes and Expos to learn as much as I can about new products. However, I also like to weigh their advantages against tried-and-true products. I stay up-to-date with the latest irrigation methods and hardscaping approaches.
