We had a panel upgrade , and other miscellaneous electric jobs , such and wiring and gfi updates .Julien and his colleague arrived on time and worked efficiently and cleaned up not leaving things undone . His pricing was fAir and his follow up too , with meeting the inspector and finishing some other jobs . Whilst labeling all the panel they discovered a live wire and just took care of it . I will definitely recommend Julien to anyone looking for professional and top notch work .

Julien got back to me quickly, met with me soon to review the process and needs of the project. He explained some of the electrical concepts ahead of time and then took time to answer my More in depth questions later. Efficient and timely for getting project done also. He even made himself available for questions I had after it was complete.

Julien updated ceiling fixtures in kitchen & bathrooms, wired and installed new led can lights in our hearth room, performed a safety check on our electrical panel, cleaned up attic wiring, updated wall switches, added dimmers.
Julien was professional, knowledgeable, honest, and fairly priced. He had sound ideas, and put us at ease regarding many questions we had about our home. He was diligent, thoughtful & went above and beyond addressing other questions & issues which exceeded the scope of the job.
When we ran into issues with part of the install, he was quick and adept at finding an appropriate solution, and never tried to upsell an unnecessary product or service. He did exactly what he said he was going to do & in a timely & efficient manner.
There are so many people out there to choose from, but we really felt Julien's professionalism, care and integrity spoke volumes. We were so fortunate to find Julien on Thumbtack, after working with previous master electricians who tend to see clients as a "quick hit", rather than seeking to develop a personal rapport of mutual trust & respect. We highly recommend Julien -- he is a rare find!

I had a outside flood light and some inside electrical work needed done in a commercial building. Electrician was on time for a quote and for the job at hand. Did work in a timely manner and was right on budget. Very honest with his pricing, hard to find now a days! Looking for a electrician do not hesitate and call Solid State Electric.

Julien was professional and prompt. His quote was right in line with other quotes we received. We had a laundry list of items - adding electrical outlets in the basement, wiring up an outside light, adding a sensor to an outside light, etc... He did a great job with everything. I would absolutely recommend him to family and friends (and I am super picky :-)

Due to the varying intricacies from both a scope of work and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, we prefer to speak or meet with customers to discuss project goals. This helps us better understand the work to be completed and give the most fair and accurate estimate we can provide.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we love to meet customers on-site to discuss project goals. This helps us to understand where it is you want to be and the end, as well as build some interpersonal relationships that can build trust between customer and contractor. We hope you agree!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are licensed electricians with many years of experience in both residential an commercial environments. We are required to complete continuing education to maintain our licenses, so you can be assured we are up-to-date on all the latest code requirements as it pertains to your project needs!
