FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My system is not very complicated, and is listed on my web site.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New clients are asked to provide relevant health history, and receive a complimentary consult before their first session begins. We discuss contraindications, preferences, and the client's priorities for the session. I take the time to answer any questions and address any concerns that the client may have. Clients are given privacy to get on and off the table, and I use draping during their massage session. I request feedback regarding the amount of pressure used, and also regarding the results of each session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although massage licensure in NH requires 12 hours of continuing education for each renewal, I regularly accumulate much more than is required. Some areas I have studied include Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, pre- and perinatal massage, Active Isolated Stretching, Craniosacral Therapy, manual lymph drainage, orthopedic massage, myofascial mobilization, muscle energy techniques, assessment and treatment of low-back pain, and techniques to alleviate headaches.
