FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly learning and have a certificate from David Nichols in Commerical Makeup Application. I take every opportunity to attend trainings, seminars, in both esthetics and cosmetics. I have attended the National Esthetics Convention in Las Vegas and trained with some of the best beauty leaders in the industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I didn't really decide, per se. I was drawn to it. Many years ago I attended a modeling school where I was training in makeup application. Soon after I began working at a bath/body shop that sold cosmetics at a counter. I gravitated towards doing makeovers and so many customers gave me compliments and told me they wanted me to come home with them, or do their wedding etc.. I soon started my business and haven't looked back since. That was about 20 years ago. Since then I've changed makeup lines, skincare lines, become a licensed professional, attended and taught numerous workshops, have hundreds of satisfied clients and continue to learn and grow....there's always more to learn!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My experience includes brides, models, photographers, GLBT, runway fashion shows, photo shoots, fitness competitions, beauty pageants, proms, and special events.
