- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
With dog grooming it takes time to get it done right. A lot of people expect you to have it done sooner than it can be done. When customers ask you how long it will be and you tell them about 2 hours (depending on the breed) they act like it should not take that long. You have to bath them, dry them, cut nails, clean ears, give them a hair cut, etc. Also its hard when customers let their dogs get matted because they wont brush them and when you tell them the coat has to be cut shorter than they want they get mad. You have to explain to them how painful it is to brush and pull out all the matting. When it could just be avoided altogether if they brushed their dog. It can be a hard conversation to have with an owner that does not want to hear it.
