My wife and I just purchased our dream home that is over 4K sq.ft. We knew from the purchase that we would need a networking engineer to help in upgrading our home's WiFi network. Now, our home came with hard wired ceiling speakers throughout. However, the previous owner had some type of old model audio system where you plugged in your iPod to an aux cable. So, we put the project out to bid as a whole and felt that the audio specialist were just that, audio specialist. For clarity, we're also going to install some Sonos Amps. I felt that I needed to go with someone who's specialty was solely on networking. I met with some audio specialist who don't even provide you a heat map. After meeting with Michael and discussing with him our current and future intentions. I knew right away he understood our objectives by the discussion we had regarding the type of network, security of the network, and scalability to allow for a smart home. We scheduled an appointment for the following weekend and Michael was puntual, arriving 10 minutes prior to the time scheduled. He showed me all of the equipment he purchased in their respective boxes and he was off to work. His work quality and professionalism are impressive. The man takes his job seriously and it's something you can definitely tell he loves doing. In just 3 hours (roughly) Michael had us wired and ready to go. We did a final walk through where he showed me all the access points and how he mounted them, (which we discussed prior) and sat in my kitchen to get a quick tutorial on managing the network. Michael's gives you a 90 day warranty on all his work and also takes care of material related RMAs, (fantastic!). I highly recommend Michael for your networking needs. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?With all lines of business, rates change as the economy does. We currently operate at an hourly rate plus the cost of equipment and supplies required. We offer flat pricing on some in-shop work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I hold a Degree in Computer Science, have over 15 years in the IT field and keep up with current technology with continued training.
- What types of customers have you worked with?My most common projects are problematic or new Wi-Fi setups, Laptop Repairs/Upgrades and support for Small Businesses on various technologies. I also provide Managed IT Services to many businesses across the country.
