Avalon is the legendary Isle of Apples, where King Arthur is said to have retreated for healing at the hands of his cousin Morganna and her priestesses, having received a near mortal wound in battle. Before I became a licensed muscular therapist, I was an exercise physiologist and strength conditioning coach. I understand very well how the body functions and the value of the skillful integration of massage and exercise. In 1987 I graduated with a degree in exercise physiology, and since then I have held certification as a personal trainer and Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist w the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and as a Super Slow Instructor. I am college educated in lifeguarding, SCUBA and Water Safety (Swim) Instruction. Having learned early and often the need for massage in facilitating recovery from exercise, and the stresses and demands of life, I graduated in 2011 with a 750 hour massage diploma.
