I believe my work on my quilts stands out from the others Iv'e seen because 1. I have been drawing and painting since I was very young and 2. Having a graphics arts & design degree gives me an edge on the ability to use colors effectivley. Not only do I feel great when a customer is delighted by what they have gotten for their hard earned money but it also gives me a deep sense of satisfaction for my artistic outlet.

Elise was wonderful to work with, from planning to communication, to design, and the final product. I sent her a box of clothes that belonged to my father-in-law. I asked her to include a particular pair of flannel pajamas. I have no idea how she could take the hodgepodge of clothes (prints, colors, and materials) and make it so perfect. I cannot wait to give the quilt to my husband for Christmas. As I said to Elise, this will be the first year in 7 years that he won't physically be with us this holiday, but thanks to her, a huge part of him will be. I'm attaching one of the final pictures she sent to me. It is not completely finished, but the quality can still be seen. Thanks Elise for the beautiful memory quilt.

I had an unusual request to have a quilt made from old concert and sporting event t-shirts collected in the past. What better way to preserve the memories rather than store them in a bag in the attic? Elise was able to create a masterpiece! The quilt is absolutely beautiful and very well made. I am very impressed with Elise's work. I would recomment highly.

Elise was phenonmenal. I had her make me a custom baby quilt and she blew me away with the finished product. I am so glad I went to her, I had a plan in my head and she offered some suggestions that only a professional could ponder. I believe the quilt was underpriced for the quality provided, especially since I can be a very fussy customer. I suggest going through Elises Quilts for anything from a baby blanket to a placard or framed, as her quilts are works of art. -Crystal B

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are based on the type of quilt that you would want made, a simple country square quilt will be much cheaper than say a double wedding ring, It is based on the hours that go into making a quilt. Quilt size is also a factor, the larger the quilt, the more fabric is needed to make the quilt.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First step is to decide the size and design that they are looking to have done. The next step is to find out if there is a certain color scheme to be used. If the customer is in need of choosing I will help in that process by asking more detailed questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a associates degree in graphic arts and design, I believe this helps give me an edge or niche into the more personal quilt designs as I can draw free hand to make applique designs and my ability to play with color in a quilt also helps with the correct fabric choices for quilt design.
