First we want to clarify that we are not associated with J & J Movers out of Wakefield, Mass. We are a totally different company. We have had many customers think that is our company and have not hired us because of their reviews. So any bad reviews you find online with them, has nothing to do with us. We offer free referrals from our past customers (If needed). Our company J & J Services has over 43 years if experience.
Please not our hourly rate has a three hour minimum with a $95 travel fee within 30 miles. Over 30 miles we can quote you
We also offer a fixed price quote if you prefer that . We must have all the info including :
1. Both addresses
2. If apt what floor and if elevator or stairs
3 Date
4 Email address
5 if you have boxes, bags, totes , how many. We will quote you on that qnty. Anything over the amount you give us will be charged at $2.85 each
We have an easy checklist we can email you to make it easier
We are a family business that takes the time to do the job done right. We do not charge more for weekends like other companies. We have flexible hours so we can work 7 days a week, morning, afternoon or evenings.
If you then want to move forward we take a deposit and then send you out a 1 page contract for your approval. That's It. We also can supply (at additional cost) boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and more. Visit our website for more information r to email us.

Jack and Steve were willing and able to move my 1 bedroom apartment furniture and boxes on less than 4 days notice. I was extremely impressed by the fair pricing, protective equipment/blankets for furniture, and punctuality.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is no standard price because all jobs are different from different areas to different floors to what is being moved.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
WE typically get a complete list of items that we are moving along with location and floors. Then we quote by the hour or an exact price on what the job will cost (whichever you prefer). We give the customer the option so if the customer wants to know how much it will cost them, we give then that option. Most customer prefer our FIXED PRICE because they feel more comfortable knowing the full cost from the beginning but some still want us to charge per hour, which we have no issue doing if needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
WE have over 35 years of moving experience. Besides having the physical strength needed, you really need to know the right way to move things should correctly. AS they also say, you need the right tools to make the job get done right, and we do from different dollys to moving blankets to shrink wrap.
