I was completely blown away by the custom cake and cupcakes I ordered!! It was a sports theme cake for my sons first birthday party. Darlene came up with a design that was even better than the pictures of ideas that I had given her for examples, it was way beyond my wildest expectations! She is extremely incredible and talented with everything she does!! I personally do not like to order cakes from the grocery store, bakery, etc. because I just hate the taste of a bland store bought cake! Darlene on the other hand not only designed me a beautiful custom cake that looked like it just came out of magazine or up scale expensive bakery, but it really tasted home made and was absolutely delicious and to die for! We received so many compliments on the beautiful cake, but also how amazing it tasted!! All of our guests were completely blown away, and I seriously recommend Darlene to everyone I know for any occasion!! I personally continue to order from her for every occasion or chance I get! In fact, I just placed my order for my engagement cake, and I'm so excited to receive it and be completely blown away all over again!! Additionally, unlike most bakeries Darlene really seems to care about her customers in addition to her sincere passion for baking. She really listens to what is important to you, and is willing to take customization to another level so that your dream cake could be in your price range, making every cake affordable! Darlene really goes that extra mile to satisfy each customer and again will exceed every expectation you may have, and then some. She did amazing cupcakes for my daughter's bday for school and she even accommodated for one girl who has a milk allergy. She had backed pies for a holiday for me as well which went over well with my guest. I highly recommend her.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Pastry Arts. I also have 4 years of managing a bakery and now the pleasure to own one! I also research the newest techniques and try to master them as quickly as possible so I can offer them to my clients.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved doing my kids birthday cakes when they were younger. Honestly though I was more excited about making Christmas cookies than actual Christmas as a kid, guess it goes way back!!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Try to have some sort of idea of what you are looking for and explain it well. Communication is key. We love examples of designs and colors. The more descriptive the better... After all we want you to love it!!
