I never really liked working out as it was extremely difficult to get motivated. But working with Laura is so motivating, she is always positive. Never the same workout twice! She helped me lose weight and my husband get in shape! She knows the muscles of the body extremely well and knows exactly what we need according to our weaknesses and our age. Re yoga: Laura has come twice a week at my home for yoga (for 3 years now). Each time she leaves I feel that I had a solid workout with stretching + strengthening + core work + mental challenge. Laura works with me and my husband. Laura has been training my husband for about six months. He has lost 20lbs and feels better in fact he has increased his training session from one per week to two per week. He is extremely happy with the success he's had with Laura training him. My experience with Laura is much different. I've had 9 spinal surgeries in the last three years, the last one a little over a year ago. Laura has been my primary physical therapist, helping me to regain motion, balance, functionality, core strengthening, stretching, and some yoga and basic strength training. She also works as a team with my doctor who is using the Graston Method to help with my rehabilitation. Sometimes I feel as though I'm making progress and then unfortunately I do something to set myself back for months. Laura has been very patient during my setbacks and diligently keeps trying to get me back to 100%. She is the most conscientious, serious and genuinely caring person I've ever met. Whether it's physical therapy or exercise training she is extremely knowledgeable and very capable. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is serious about regaining their health and fitness.Jun 30, 2014
Right from the first session I could tell it was going to be a great fit. We discussed all of my goals and came up with a plan for my training. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Yes. Per hour long session is $55. 10 session package is $450. 20 session package is $800. Initial Consultation/evaluation is free.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Communication and taking time to REALLY listen to them. Write down their needs and desires. Be REAL with them about their expectations and be truly compassionate about their circumstances.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been a certified trainer since 1992. I started as a credited class instructor in 1991 and I loved it but I would see these people looking through the glass at these crazy aerobic classes and the look in their eyes said 'I could never do that' and they would walk away and in my head I was saying to them 'let me help you!' That's what made me become a certified one on one trainer a year after I became certified as a group instructor. As much as I enjoyed the 'show' of class instruction, my heart lay with helping those that think they are beyond help.
