I can't say enough about Johnson's Dog Training Academy. My aggressive male Pitbull was extremely reactive and overprotective, causing major concerns. After a month of dedicated training, the transformation has been astounding. Johnson's expertise and commitment were evident throughout the process. I have a 6 month old Rottweiler. I called Mr Johnson to get him some training. As in obedience. You know puppy stuff biting, digging, listening sometimes. Mr Johnson was very professional and prepared. He met my Rottie with his favorite food. "Treats". He gave me some needed advice and demonstrations. My Rottie was very comfortable with Mr. Johnson also. Took to him right away. I was nervous because I didn't know what to expect. But everything went fine. If I ever need a trainer in the future. I am definitely calling Johnson dog training.

My dog is only five months old and it is very difficult to get her to stop barking and chewing clothes. But with the help of the trainer, she was able to fix almost all of her puppy problems in three weeks. Not only that, she also learned to wait, sit, lie down and other instructions. After the course, whenever I have questions, the teacher will help me answer them in time. It's really worth it!

I have a 4-year old pit named Ghost who I adopted 8 months ago and he was very reactive whenever he saw another dog and wanted to always attack them. I was at my wits end with his behavior and I decided to try to find someone who could help me correct his behavior. Keith responded right away to my request and we made an appointment for him to meet Ghost for an evaluation. I knew that I had found the right person when Keith informed me that he had experience working with pits and was able to take Ghost right away into his program. While as a dog mom it wasn't easy to not see him everyday, it was definitely worth it. Keith sent me updates as well as videos on a regular basis as well as when Ghost's month was done; we have continued to work together so I can get pointers and feedback on my interactions with Ghost and be able to put into practice. I would absolutely use Keith's services again and would strongly recommend him.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer fair pricing that includes training the dog and more importantly we train the owner to communicate with the dog and up keep the dogs training. We offer free pick-up and drop-off service for customers in close proximity to the training facilities.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer along with the dog will meet with us at the training facility where we will discuss the dogs tendencies. We will then evaluate the dog through a series of exercises to determine the best training method that will produce improved results.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over the last seven years, we have trained service dogs for surrounding police departments in New Jersey.
