FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When pricing a project, it is based on many factors. - The scope of the project - The project type - The length of the project - Services needed $75 an hour for smaller decorating projects that do not require new construction or renovation. Sometimes its more cost effective for the client if I charge a flat fee, as apposed to billable hours. A flat fee is considered for long term projects. Designer discounts on furniture and finishes with a 15% markup.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meeting in person or video call is the first step to learn about your needs and about your lifestyle. This initial phase of the project includes preliminary studies of the site or property. The goal is to find our more about you and your design ambitions for the project, along with your timescales & budgets. We’ll work with you to build a detailed brief and identify your design preferences. Concept Design is the beginning of the creative process. We’ll develop floor plans and layouts for your project as we begin to investigate finishes, design styles and influences. Throughout the design development stage we get into the detail of the scheme. We’ll refine the internal layouts and specify key finishes and materials for the floors, walls, etc. while we define the FF&E concepts requirements for final sign off.
