Introduction: My name is Ronaldo Byrd and I am a contemporary artist. I attended Art and Design High School in New York City before moving to Burlington, New Jersey. I also graduated from Art Instruction School , which boasts such graduates as Charles Schulz, creator of "Peanuts". I have been in several newspapers and magazines with my artwork featured. I am known as "THE ARTIST OF HAPPINESS" according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. My art has been compared to the art of Grandma Moses. I was recently featured on CBS 3 EYEWITNESS NEWS.I am very passionate about my work and I hope it is evident how very much I love what I am doing. My goal is to please and to put a smile on the faces of everyone I encounter. I like being able to put my passion in action and also to put smiles on people's faces.

We were having a bit of a tense time some time back. I wanted a tee that would try to bring black, white, Muslim and every one back to peace. Ronaldo came up with a beautiful shirt that received many compliments. The riots are over now and his vision and skill helped in that. Forever Grateful. Steve in St. Louis.

Ronaldo created a beautiful painting of my classroom and me teaching that I will always treasure. It reflects my classroom and teaching techniques that I used in the classroom prior to my retirement. I contacted Ronaldo after seeing his paintings that are colorful and very upbeat. I hear the song, "Happy" when I look at his work!

FAQs

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mother noticed that this was my passion at the tender age of three. You see, I was trying to draw in three dimensions and I've never stopped drawing and painting since then.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I do a lot of commissioned work, but I also create my own scenes and have done quite a few murals.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I did a mural for a school with children that are on the autistic spectrum. This mural was very special to me and it meant alot to me to be able to do this for them.
