Chip is a highly motivational trainer who has created a unique and exciting fitness community within Life Center Academy. He has assembled a "Get Chip Fit" program that includes daily group fitness classes, an individual strength routine tailored toward personal goals, and a nutrition plan. Here is what to expect: Though I was a runner and pretty frequent exerciser prior to joining GCF, I've still found each part of his system to be challenging. His group fitness classes are mixed in age, gender and overall athleticism, so I would absolutely recommend them to "January Joiners" and gym rats alike. Whether it's two people or eight that come for any given class, it's always high energy and fun (and sweaty!). Plus, classes are held 6 days a week and available both morning and night, so you'll have the convenience of options. The nutrition aspect of the "Get Chip Fit" plan - which, admittedly, is my weak point - is realistic as a continuable lifestyle rather than a strict diet. You can access it online and each meal comes along with a recipe. Even if you don't follow it exactly (which I totally do, if you're reading this Chip :), it's a good outline for how you should be mapping out your daily meals/snacks and what you should be taking in calorically. Lastly, the strength routine is a great way to familiarize yourself with the side of the gym that scares you. After he develops your personal regimen, Chip will take you around the gym and show you correct form/how to operate those machines that all the buff guys cluster around. After a few weeks, it's awesome to be able to see in the daily group classes how much that extra bit of strength conditioning is helping! Chip seems like he's always brainstorming new ways to keep us on our toes! And he takes music requests, so you can sweat to the oldies or Beyonce. ;) Come join us!

Best trainer I've worked with! Just militant enough to get me to workout as well as he knows I can without being a drill sargent. Fun classes!

I've never worked with a personal trainer before and wasn't sure what to expect - I thought I'd be too old, too out of shape - the workout would be too hard - or any other excuse you could think of. Chip cut through all of those excuses - his classes are fun but challenging and he is an excellent motivator - he never makes you feel bad if you are having trouble doing an exercise and is always trying to push you to do all that you can do. I love coming to classes and really get upset if I have to miss them - I highly recommend Chip to anyone of any fitness level - he will definitely be able to help you!
