If someone is charging you less than the avg price, stay away from them. They are probably not licensed, not bonded and not insured contractors by the state. By law, ALL contractors must be licensed by the state and are the only ones who can do that type of work. It is illegal for anyone else to do electric work if not licensed. Most handymen, attempt to do these jobs cheaper by cutting corners and then leaving you with poor illegal work, costing you twice as much in the long run.
