We hired this painter for a full interior repaint, and overall the experience was mixed.
On the positive side, the standard wall and trim painting throughout the home was done well. Coverage was solid, lines were clean in most areas, and the overall finish on traditional paint met expectations. He was generally punctual, worked efficiently, and communicated clearly on scheduling. For conventional interior painting, his work was consistent and professional.
Where the experience fell short was with specialty finishes. We hired him to apply limewash in two bathrooms, and the application did not meet the expected standard. The finish was uneven and blotchy, with visible buildup and texture issues. Ultimately, the work had to be stopped and will require remediation by a specialist, resulting in additional cost and time on our end. In hindsight, this type of finish likely requires more specific experience than was demonstrated.
In summary, I would recommend this painter for standard interior painting projects, but not for specialty finishes such as limewash or plaster unless those skills are clearly established upfront.
