FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer great service at a fair price and can prepare all types of individual, business and estate tax returns and have the ability to prepare all 50 state returns. I am more cost effective than the big box preparers and not all those preparers are CPAs. Each client I work with has their own financial picture and I tailor my tax guidance based on that portrait to be as advantageous as possible. I am available year-round, not just during tax season to answer a question or offer tax advice, does your current tax accountant get back to you the same day, or even at all once your return is filed? If not, perhaps it's time for a change.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I review their prior years' tax return and inquire about any significant life changes, such as the birth of a child, starting a business, marriage or divorce. After completing the return I do a full year over year comparison and review the present year for any tax savings opportunities and relay these findings to the client. I work with clients from all over the United States, and most of my clients find that emailing their documents is the easiest way to provide their tax information.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Public Accountant and do 120 hours of continuing professional education every three years. Every year I take a 24 hour review course, Income Tax For Individuals, and pass a rigorous exam. I subscribe to many professional tax services and receive updates daily from the IRS on changes and developments.
