Introduction: As a drum instructor, I try to always include Hand/foot technique, a Rudiment, Reading, and Grooves (beats) in every lesson... Unless, a student comes to me to learn a specific aspect of drumming and they specify what they prefer to focus on. As well, I have hundreds of drum less MP3 tracks that I share with the students, enabling them to begin gaining experience playing with other musicians as soon as possible. I have many years of experience performing on a professional level and I am able to share what it takes to achieve a high level of proficiency on the instrument and to become sought after by other professional musicians. I love to share my love of music and drums, while giving back rewards that I have gotten, so others may experience what I have. I love witnessing the transformation of the student. I love to be able to see that moment when something they've been working on recently, begins to click and they really get it.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Yes, for lessons in my home teaching studio there is a standard rate.. The price can vary, If I travel to the student, depending on the distance.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I assess their current level of knowledge and proficiency. Then, I devise the lesson plan that I feel will help the individual student grow. As well, I always have them play grooves (beats) from the very beginning (unless the student is only interested in working on technique), regardless of their skill level. I believe players at any level can play a simple, basic beat and progress from there. I provide tracks without drums to my students and have them playing with other musicians right away. I have hundreds of drumless recordings.
