Julie is incredibly talented and qualified which is why I NEEDED her to coach my voice in preparation to a musical audition. Her home studio is warm and welcoming and I feel that she truly loves to teach and share the gift of music. I will be hiring her again for more vocal coaching. Julie is the best in South Jersey! :)

Professional, friendly staff. Prompt, thorough lessons. I was so pleased that the teacher was interested in what works best for my child and created a program for her.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I suggest that piano students start with a weekly 30 minute lesson, so their finger and hand muscles are able to gradually adjust to the work they will begin doing. For singers, I suggest that students under 12 begin with a 30 minute lesson which can grow to 45 minutes with proper practice habits. For singers over 12, I highly suggest 45 minutes to start, and you may grow into an hour lesson as you begin to have more vocal stamina through lessons and practice. I charge $28 per half hour lesson and $50 per hour lesson. I accept weekly, bi-weekly and monthly students.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Most often students come to us wanting to be better performers. We begin working on breathing, hearing and singing correct pitches, and working on different types of music which will be used for auditions and performances.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

You must find someone whose personality and teaching style appeals to you and your sensitivities. If you come across a voice or piano teacher who won't answer your questions or aren't able to re-phrase something for you to understand better, or even worse, ridicule you for a question on something you don't understand, then you need to find someone else. You are entrusting your instrument and your growth to someone, make sure it's someone who gels well with you!
