I have been taken guitar lessons from Ralph for 2 months, from December to February. He has very good teaching abilities. He encourages me to ask questions. He let me choose the styles and songs I want to play, then he starts with the little techniques and theories to help me achieve my ultimate goal. He is very patient as well. Highly recommended.

Details: 18 - 25 years old • No formal training; some self-taught experience • Yes, can read guitar tabs • Electric • Rock • Jazz • Yes, the student has an instrument • 60 minutes • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc.

I'm a professional singer and I studied guitar when I was young, but never felt that I was good enough to incorporate guitar in my performances. I started studying with Ralph, and not only did he bring my playing up to performance level, he taught me how to use my ears, as well as some basic music theory, so that I could develop on my own, also. Ralph's patience and musical knowledge was a godsend to me. Hire him, you will be a better musician/player for it!

I have done two lessons with Ralph and they have both been excellent. We initially set our time for 1 hour on both visits, and we easily bled into two hours both days. Ralph was very great about being up front for putting a hard limit on time, but I was having such a great time with the lesson that I felt it worthwhile to take full advantage of my time there. I know what I'm doing as a classical guitarist and I'm not in my element with an electric guitar. Ralph is helping me build that strength in terms of listening to pop songs, figuring out what's going on and how to play it by ear, and learning myriads of different ways of knowing scales so that I can apply them to what I'm hearing. I'm also a little sloppy with a pick and we're doing rhythmic pattern exercises to get me to where I want to be. All-in-all, the experience has been great.

Details: 26 - 44 years old • 4+ yrs of formal training • Yes, can read music staff • Electric • Rock • Blues • Jazz • Yes, the student has an instrument • 60 minutes • I travel to the guitar teacher • The guitar teacher travels to me

Ralph Notaro of Colonia NJ is not only a gifted and talented musician, performer, vocalist and song writer, he happens to also be an excellent instructor and overall super musical guidance councilor.I have recently begun studying guitar and musical theory with Ralph and it has been an extremely enjoyable and worthwhile experience for me.Ralph has developed a course of study personally designed for me,to address areas that need advancement and that has also been relatively easy for me to accomplish even with my very busy schedule. If you are Looking to study an instrument or just develop more musical knowledge and theory You should give Ralph a call.He is not only the consummate professional but he is also a very nice guy who has a real passion for teaching and everything thing musical Enjoy the learning experience with Ralph. You will not go wrong PT Manasquan NJ.
