Sal really cares about your dogs. He took his time and really listened to my wife and I and gave really good training tips and advice for our Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs! Thank you Sal for your time, it was a pleasure working with you!Sep 7, 2020Verified
I would definitely recommend Sal to train your dog. He was able to answer our very specific questions pertaining to the breed we have (rottweiler). He has had two rottweilers of his own and is very educated about the breed. His way of interacting with my dog was very calm and loving, but still assertive enough to show he was the boss. If you are looking for a great trainer who really cares about teaching dogs and their owners , Sal is your guy!Jul 11, 2020VerifiedPaws for Applause's reply
Navrit, Thanks for the great review. It was a pleasure working with you and your wonderful family. Please let me know if you need any more help. Sal
Sal was excellent. He offered really useful tools for our new pup. By the end of our session we had her sitting, laying down, staying, coming and heeling. He is a calming person and we all felt so comfortable learning from him. Sal is a great positive dog trainer.Feb 3, 2020VerifiedPaws for Applause's reply

Thanks Ben. I enjoyed our training session. Please let me know if you need any help in the future. Sal
Sal was a wonderful trainer and was able to address a variety of issues we were facing. My cats and my husband’s German Shepherd were living together for the first time since we had gotten married and with a newborn in the house as well there was so much going on for all of our animals. Sal was so helpful in helping us introduce our pets and teaching our adult rescue dog impulse control inside and outside our house. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything from training to breed specific information, mealtime issues, and resources we could use moving forward. Sal was so kind and patient with us and our pets which truly helped us all get over our anxiety about all these new issues we were having. Even before we started training with him, he gave us so much of his time and information to start preparing our cats and dog. My husband and I love our pets dearly and thought Sal was the best choice for them. I highly recommend Sal and his services to everyone.Nov 4, 2019VerifiedPaws for Applause's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Fixed fee of $100 for first session which will last at least two hours. $75 for next session if necessary. If the customer wants a package of six private lessons the total would be $400 as I would give one free lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I sit down at the table and talk about the dog and get to know the family. We discuss problems they are having and what they want to accomplish. I find out what the dogs eats, where he sleeps, what toys he has, etc. We then work on the problem areas first and then do some basic training. I always teach Sit, Down, Look at Me, Stay, Recall from a Stay and Leave it if necessary. By the time I leave the pup is ready for a long nap.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a BA with a Major in Psychology. Much of my training method is based on Skinnerian psychological principles. I also have my Certification as a Dog Trainer since 2005.
