This pro works a bit differently - both in good ways and somewhat non-conventional ways. I would highly recommend Urgent Appliance Repair. Aleksendr was highly competent, and he understood my problem immediately, without insisting on an in-person, on-site diagnosis. I had recently purchased a new, "lemon" Whirlpool clothes washer from Lowe's, and now it was totally out of commission. Whirlpool never issued a recall or service bulletin to consumers. They did not notify me that my model number had a defective pressure switch that was integrated into the control panel. Apparently, Whirlpool has admitted it was their fault, and even agreed to replace the part for free. But the part was on indefinite back order, so good luck with that! Aleksendr was familiar with the problem and he told me that I'd have to pay for the part in advance as a deposit on the job. Fair enough, I guess. But my family has been victimized in the past by other contractors who take customers' deposits and then disappear. Nonetheless, Aleksendr showed up right on time and replaced the entire control panel, and re-calibrated the machine. He even showed me the bad unit, and said he felt sorry that the pressure switch could have been replaced separately (and cheaply) on other washers. The washer has been working fine since then, about a week ago.

Aleks was great, very punctual, "in fact he arrived 5 minutes early," and was able to diagnose and solve the issue quickly. He even offered to explain how to do it to me in case I wanted to make the repairs myself, which i declined, but even still just goes to show the quality person he is. If you want someone who prioritizes the right solution vs the right now solution he's your man.
