- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base my pricing on an estimate of how much time I think the return will take. My minimum charge for a personal tax return is $250, which changes due to the type of additional services required (such as Schedule C or E) would be more costly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I can discuss your needs in person or telephone. If you want to go ahead and have me work on your returns, I have a portal that I would set up and you will be able to securely place documents. For preparation of returns either business or personal I would want to have you forward the last return you filed. This gives me an idea of what you need and also gives me important information to help me prepare your returns accurately. When you place them in the portal I am notified via email that you placed them in the portal. You will also be notified when I place documents in the portal for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of Science from the State University of NY at Buffalo. I am a Certified Public Accountant in both New York and New Jersey. I take 40 credits of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) every year.
