- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a Free Consultation and Assessment and get to know the person as I ask them about themselves to create the best possible plan for YOU ! The first time we meet we’ll sit down, talk about your goals, health and exercise history, past and/or current injuries or ailments, as well as previous exercise or training activity. My aim when beginning a relationship with a new clients is built upon learning as much as possible about the drives and desires behind your fitness goals. I believe I can better educate, motivate and support my clients when we've thoroughly discussed the 'why' to their fitness journey. During the consult portion, we will also discuss your readiness for change that you m are willing to make, if any, and figure out what the best program is for you to have the most success. In your assessment portion, I test your strength and flexibility to determine your physical limitations, as well a Functional Movement Screening which helps identify any movement deficits that could indicate an increased risk of injury. Since injuries can hinder training progress, or in some cases, cause regression, addressing these limitations and asymmetries is of great importance. Once this is all established, then I can plan and implement the client's individualized workout plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
NASM Certified Personal Trainer ISSA Certified Personal Trainer CPR/AED No matter what it is, a product or a service, you want to know if it is going to be up to your standards/worth your money. We wanted to make sure that we are worth your money in every possible way. One of those ways though is by being one of the most credentialed trainers out there. Because it seems like people have a fear of whether or not their trainer is going to be able to work with their certain situation/limitations or not. That is why we went with the National Academy of Sports Medicine as our certifying body. They are the best in the world. To go even further than that, I made sure that I could work with as many situations and people as possible. I even have to admit though, I don’t have all the certifications to be 100% versatile, yet. That doesn’t stop me from continuously learning as I stay on top of my continuing education. No trainer in the world knows it all any 1 who says they do is lying. The thing is you need to keep striving to better yourself and acquiring new knowledge in this field !
