(@joelsvividsnaps)* My name is Joel Martinez, I'm a photographer and videographer based in Franklin, New Jersey. Born in The Bronx, I grew up in Monroe, NY. I spent my early years traversing through the streets of NYC. I now live in New Jersey. I visit the city often. I am also a proud dad and a husband; my son and I share the same birthday! I studied Communication at the University at Buffalo - SUNY, where I discovered my love for photography. I am also a member of NYC Prime Shot. My goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength, and enthusiasm of people. I focus on non-models and place regular people in situations that highlight an aspect of who they are. I strive for a sense of integrity and fortitude in my work. I hired Joel to take photographs when I proposed to my girlfriend (now fiancé). He did a phenomenal job getting the proposal and also thought of everything for photos afterward. Also, the time of day and nearby buildings made the lighting difficult but Joel’s edits made the photos perfect. Great guy and great photographer.

We hired Joel for our wedding photos and he did an amazing job! From our first meeting with Joel, we knew he was THE photographer we wanted. He was very enthusiastic and responded to our requests with excitement. During the big day, he was punctual, great at finding new locations for photos, and he communicated his vision for photos in a super effective manner. We requested a group photo following the ceremony and Joel did a fantastic job positioning people, finding small details that would improve the photos (e.g, pointing out bulky cell phones in pockets), and he captured incredible pictures and video of the group with his drone. Joel certainly captures vivid snaps that recall vivid memories of what felt like a whirlwind of a day! We cannot recommend Joel enough!

We were absolutely thrilled with Joel’s pictures and work! Even with our crazy little 2 year old he was able to capture the best moments of the photo shoot!
