We make sure you understand fully our pricing and insurance options, so there is no “surprise charges” once the move is in progress. When it comes to packing your household items, we offer either partial or full service, which can be done on moving day or the day prior making your
move more cost effective. But when it comes to fragile items such as glassware, dishes, family valuables and/or artwork, it is better for us to pack them since we are more experienced. All cartons and packing material will be delivered to your home in advance of moving day.
Our price is based on 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 men crew with a truck/s, rated at hourly charge. This price includes basically everything: Loading, unloading, assembly and disassembly, complete blanket wrapping of your furniture, truck and liability coverage, taxes.
WE HAVE A MINIMUM CHARGE - FOR THE FIRST 3 HOURS OF LABOR. IF THE JOB IS GOING TO TAKE LONGER, WE CHARGE FOR EACH ADDITIONAL HOUR AND ACTUAL TIME WILL BE PRORATED TO THE NEAREST 15 MINUTES.
In order to provide you with an accurate quote, we have to know :
1. Exact inventory list of everything what needs to be moved;
2. Loading/Unloading/Parking Conditions;
3. Pickup and Delivery Zip addresses;
4. Packing request, if you want us to pack any/or all boxes for you ( books, , pictures, TV's etc...)
5. Moving Date
6. Your email address

Our crew will wrap all furniture items in protective blankets prior to leaving your home. Furniture that is needed to be disassembled will be handled at the origin residence and reassembled at the destination residence.

1st Movers were able to move me last minute. We moved from Princeton to Philly. They just finished everything an hour ago.
Statement of facts:
3 Movers showed up at 8:05 (it was scheduled between 8-9), they did a visual inspection of everything that needed to be moved.
We signed the contract and the movers started loading all the boxes. We packed all the boxes in the past 3 weeks. After finishing with the boxes, they wrapped all the furniture (couches, dressers etc) with moving pads, disassembled our bed and dining table, removed a mirror from the dresser and loaded everything on the truck.
It was a problem with parking on the delivery end in Philly, and they parked on the closest spot available. Because of that - unloading took longer than expected. Movers unloaded, reassembled everything and placed the boxes where we wanted them.
Overall, everything went very smoothly. No damages, scratches or any issues. We paid for an extra hour of labor, because of the parking situation. But we are very glad we found Thumbtack and 1st Movers.
We are definitely going to use them again and recommend them to all of our friends.
Vlad explained everything upfront to us. No hidden charges or any surprises (we used to have them with our previous movers).

I cannot give these guys high enough marks. I hired them through Thumbtack for a local move in central Pennsylvania. They gave me a 30 minute window during which they would arrive, and they showed up right at the first minute of the window, which I appreciated. They had a team of 3 who came and loaded everything up and unloaded things later in a very efficient, but careful manner. They gave an estimate prior as to the expectations on time and they met it and were actually a bit quicker. Periodically, they would note issues with my existing furniture. This was good, because it showed that they take pride in getting everything moved without harm. Every last object in my house arrived intact at the conclusion of the move without a scratch, or a dent. The job came in slightly under the estimate for both time and cost. I would definitely use 1st Moving Corp again. I cannot think of a single area they could improve upon.

Vlad and his team did a great job with our move. He arrived on time and worked quickly and carefully to move our furniture. Our move consisted of a high end dining room table, 10 chairs, a glass china cabinet and granite buffet, all of which were extremely heavy and fragile pieces. Vlad and his team ensured the furniture was securely wrapped and transported without any issues. We would definitely use them for future moving/shipping needs!

The crew arrived prepared and early. They were courtous and polite and asked many questions, making sure they understood how and where we wanted the items moved.
They did not rush and were careful moving and re-assembling every piece of furniture that needed it.

The movers came on time, did a great job moving things carefully and in a very expedited timing! They were very efficient loading and unloading and paying attention to floors, walls and furniture...
